Things that do NOT induce labor...

Yes, I am still pregnant...in case you were wondering. Tomorrow, I will be 41wks-maybe. I go to the doctor this afternoon so we'll see what happens. Until then, I'm still here...pregnant...very pregnant. Actually, I'm this pregnant:

Big belly!

I feel huge! Like, Jon and Kate Plus Eight huge...K, I'll be fair..maybe more like like Kate Plus Three huge? That's still more than Jessi Plus One. Anyhow, on with my list of things that I've found to NOT induce labor when you're very overdue.

ONE.sewing

It has taken me nearly three months to make another curtain panel, and go figure it happens after 40wks of pregnancy. I didn't do it ALL myself...Jason had to help with the pinning as it is 108" but still...quite an accomplishment. Now I just need to find that damn fabric for behind the tv. Walmart has nothing and I just can't choose a solid fabric online. The renderings are always different. So until I can make it out of here HAHA, I got nothing...

TWO.painting your toenails

Funny how I will post that belly picture, but will not post one of my feet. I was so proud of the fact that I can still shave my legs and paint my toenails this whole pregnancy, but my feet look like Fiona's. That's how I feel pregnant...like big fat ogre Fiona.

Screw it...totally jealous, right?

And quick! Look at the baby!

Sooooo cute! He has you with those eyes!

THREE.baking

Making chocolate chip cookies does not help the baby want to come out. Neither does eating chocolate chip cookies.

FOUR. sex
I'll spare you an image of an overdue pregnant woman
attempting to have sex. Hell...I'll spare myself the image...

You can not reach the end of the internet without reading 100000000 times that it is THE most proven way to induce labor. Not the case for me. It is awkward, uncomfortable, and never could you feel more like a beached whale...but whatever it takes right? NOT

Besides random chores around the house and working at the restaurant, I've even tried RELAXING! Crazy! I know!! That doesn't help either.

Maybe I should try a bit of this?

Now, don't take me wrong. I'm a firm believer that babies will come when they're good and ready. I am also of the belief that we got pregnant on december 6, making it not her due date yet. Apparently that isn't possible according when I was supposed to ovulate, blah blah, but whatever, I'm right, the midwife is wrong, and until I have the knowledge to deliver my own baby, I have to deal with what someone else says...and all those someone elses say that my time is running out and I really don't want to go the pitocin route.

I suppose we could just google unassisted childbirth wait it out? Yeah...a bit too scary for me...

Until then...wish me luck with the jumping jacks!
