even belated...so it goes...
Yesterday was a wonderful day to get out. It was the first warm day we've had here in about a week and even though it was overcast, it was still warm enough for sun dresses and sandals. A terrific spring day for May Day.
I remember as a kid my mom would cut bunches off of the lilac bushes in our yard and make bouquets for me to run to the neighbors house. The game was to knock on the door, leave flowers, and if you got caught-a kiss! Not having any landscaping done here (yet!) I have no lilac bushes for my own bouquet, just a candle...but it smells so wonderful it could trick your mind. I lit the candle this morning and could have sworn the scent came from the lilac bush outside my window had I not known better! I also finished my Mother's Day gift!
