So finally, coming in at 41 weeks and one day overdue, Aeris Isabella arrived! A whopping 8 pounds, 9 ounces, 19.5 inches--she couldn't be more perfect.
Growing up, my ideal family was to have a boy, then a girl. After hearing I was pregnant with my first baby, I wanted a girl so badly. I was afraid I would never get my girl. When I found out I was pregnant with a girl this time, I didn't want to let myself believe it. When people would ask, I would say, "They say a girl..." or "We're not sure..." I half expected her to come out and the midwife announce, "It's a boy!" Not that I would have been upset, mind you...because Ephraim would love a brother, I'm sure. I would be perfectly happy watching them grow up being best of friends. Anyhow, she came out a girl, penis free, and wonderful!
The photo site that I had been using for Ephraim's pictures is still not letting me upload photos for some reason. I really need to just email them and figure that out I suppose. I'm a paid member to the site so it's really aggravating!
I tried to take some photos of Aeris this afternoon during Ephraim's nap but she just would not sleep! Here are a few for now...not much time for editing . Maybe during a middle of the night feeding--which I must add is going very well! She's sleeping four hour stretches at night so I've only got to get up about twice. Ephraim has been equally cooperative and sleeping in until around 8 so we're all much more rested than I thought we'd be these days...
Until the photo site works, heres a peek at her...

Obviously no one else has been here yet, because how could one not comment after seeing these pictures.
She's absolutly beautiful. You're very very blessed, glad you're getting some sleep too.
Congratulations.
