Some Fall Fun

We went and had us some fall fun today! The girls and I took Ephraim and Aeris to a little fall festival at the hospital where my mom works.

They had a castle bounce house there which Ephraim just loved. We also did a cake walk. This cake walk was not very "toddler-friendly" though. Ephraim knew that it was CAKE walk which just means a "hey lets go get cake!" walk. He ran right up there and stole a little cupcake and proceeded towards the end of the deck to look at the water fountain. The woman in charge wasn't really having it though and insisted that he must walk in the cake walk to the music to win. Well, when the music stopped, he stood on his laminated number and waited for the lady to spin the winner before he got to eat his cake. And you know what? He won! The cake walk lady says, "Well, now at least he won it legally. Let's spin again." Poor baby didn't even get two cakes! (I threw away the messy melted cupcake before he could remember he had it. Good thing because it would have just landed in the spilled mess that became of Wesawee's backseat.

Eprhaim is sitll talking about it this evening reminding me how much fun he had. He's had a thing with castles lately. Every day he will build about 10 of them for Jason or I.

He'll say, "Here mommy! I hope you like it!"
"Ephraim, that is a beautiful castle!"
"I'm glad you like it. Mommy's happy-glad!!!"

...then we continue to discuss how many colors, legos, etc. he used to make it just right. It's a funny thing when he is buildnig because he will tell you, "It's not right yet!" and you have to disassemble the entire thing and he will start over until it is perfect. I wonder where he gets that from.

And this is what Miss Aeris loves...

I found this hat cleaning some stuff out to get fall clothes organized. It's a newborn stocking cap...and she thinks she needs to wear it all the time!
