Anthropologie Inspired Bag

Like everyone else, I'm usually very eager to flip through my new Anthropologie catalog. I'm poor these days and can't afford a damn thing in it but at least it's good for inspiration...and that it was. I saw this bag on the back cover and honestly couldn't see myself spending $70 on this bag even if I had it. Now, I can justify spending $70 on a bag. Actually, $70 is not an expensive bag at all. When I'm broke and can make a way cuter one for about $1.70, there's no reason to even think of buying it though.

I must also add that I did not design the aplique pattern on the bag. Anna Maria Horner made a skirt with an aplique like this on the front panel and when I saw this Anthro bag, it jogged my memory of that beautiful skirt so I knew I just had to give it a go! I've never really apliqued anything before and am quite proud of the work-even if I was able to hide the boo boos with my embroidery!

Oh! And did you notice? I'm still working my way through all that Chocolate Lollipop a year later!
